Is this prayer real?

Paste a prayer, a psalm or a verse: from an app, a card, a post or a chatbot. This page compares it with the editions this site holds and shows you, word by word, what matches and what does not.

What the answers mean

  • Word for word: every word you pasted is in a published edition, in order, and nothing between the first and the last is missing.
  • Close, with differences: at least 85 percent of the words match, in order. The words that do not are marked.
  • Partly the same: at least half match. Usually a different translation, sometimes a text that has been changed.
  • Held back here: the passage is one where two copies this site compared disagree, so it prints neither.
  • Not found: nothing here matches, which is not evidence either way.
