About Make A Prayer

Privacy

People arrive here at some of the worst moments of their lives. What they look up is nobody's business.

What we collect today

Almost nothing. There are no accounts, no comments, and no prayer submissions yet, so there is nothing to attach to a person.

  • No analytics. No tracking script, no pixel, no third-party tag.
  • No cookies set by us. Which is also why there is no cookie banner.
  • No advertising, and no data shared with an ad network.
  • Search queries are not logged to a profile. Searching is a plain page request; nothing is stored against you.
  • Our host keeps standard server logs. The site runs on Vercel, which records request-level data including IP addresses for a limited period as part of operating the service.

What will apply when there is more

Prayer submission is planned but not built. When it exists, these hold from the first day rather than being retrofitted:

  • Whatever someone writes is private by default. The person who writes it chooses who sees it, and the default is nobody.
  • Nothing is made public because it would look good on a homepage.
  • Identifying details in submitted text are detected and removed before anything is shown publicly.
  • A prayer is deletable by the person who wrote it, permanently.

What we will never do

Sell or share what someone searched for or wrote. In this subject area that data is unusually revealing: a search for words before surgery says something about a person’s week that they did not consent to disclose to anyone but themselves.
