About Make A Prayer

Terms of use

Short, because the site does little and promises less.

What this is

A reference for prayers and spiritual-care guidance across religious traditions, free to read. Every published text names its source and the people who reviewed it. How that works.

What it is not

It is not medical, clinical, legal, psychological or safeguarding advice, and it does not replace your own service’s policies or your professional judgement.

It is not a substitute for a member of a person’s own tradition. Where a rite requires an ordained minister, the page says so rather than offering a stand-in, and that guidance is the answer rather than a disclaimer around it.

It is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number or crisis line.

Accuracy, and its limits

We take unusual care over this, and we are exact about what the care covers. A prayer text is printed from a named edition and published only where its words match a second, independent witness: a check of wording, made mechanically, which no person has reviewed for use. Guidance publishes only when credentialed practitioners have signed it across separate dimensions, and a material edit takes it down until it is signed again; none has been signed yet. Even so, religious practice varies by region, by denomination, by community and by family, and a page describing what a tradition generally does may not describe what the person in front of you wants. Ask them.

If something here is wrong, tell us. We would rather hear it than not.

Using the material

Read it, print it, use it at a bedside or a graveside. If you reproduce a text elsewhere, carry its source line: it is the thing that makes the quote verifiable and it is not decoration. Rights and permissions.

Changes

These terms may change as the site grows, particularly once people can submit prayers. Material changes will be described rather than quietly swapped in.
