In loving memory of
Their name
Psalm 121
I will lift vp mine eyes vnto the hills : from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh even from the Lord : who hath made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved : and he that keepeth thee will not sleep.
Behold, he that keepeth Jsrael : shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord himself is thy keeper : the Lord is thy defence vpon thy right hand.
So that the sun shall not burn thee by day : neither the Moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil : yea it is even he that shall keep thy soule.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out, and thy coming in from this time forth for evermore.

What the back of the card promises
The words are the edition’s words, letter for letter, which is why they cannot be edited here. Under them the card names the edition and its year, says how the wording was checked, and prints this text’s address and version. A correction to the text, if one is ever made, is listed with its date at makeaprayer.com/corrections, so anyone holding a card years from now can check it.
Nobody credentialed in the tradition has chosen this prayer for a funeral or signed this card. It is a faithful copy of a text, not advice about which text to use. The family’s parish, temple or minister can say what their tradition expects.
What stays on this device
The name, the dates and the photo exist only in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded or saved, and closing the tab discards them. The PDF is your browser’s own Save as PDF, so the card is made on your computer and never on ours. What this site keeps.
